Lorraine Johnstone is desperate to bring Stephen Ross home - he has been in a hospital in Spain for one month
A woman could potentially become her partner's 'full-time carer' after he suffered a brain aneurysm after falling and hitting his head in a hotel room. Stephen Ross's partner Lorraine Johnstone says he has been 'unresponsive' since the incident took place on September 24.
"It's the first time seeing him since he came out of the coma. I thought he would recognise my voice but all he's managed to do is squeeze my hand. "I'm not a nurse. I wouldn't know what to do. And even if I wanted to I don't have the visas that would allow me to stay over here that long. Meanwhile, she says she is worried what financial state the family will be left in with the travel insurance previously only offering to pay 18 per cent of costs of his hospital stay because Stephen had blood clots which had dissipated two years prior to the holiday which he didn't declare when taking out the policy.
