Armani Costello 'severely abused' her partner during a year-long campaign of abuse
A woman was left 'constantly fearful' at the hands of her girlfriend, who struck her with a wooden slat, headbutted her and threw a TV at her while she was having a bath.
During another row, Costello headbutted and scratched her. She also struck her with a wooden slat, causing bruising to her arms and legs. Costello was previously handed a 22-week imprisonment suspended for 18 months on November 2022 for stalking and threatening to disclose private sexual images, committed against a former partner. She was also given a youth referral order in 2020 for offences of criminal damage, battery, affray and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place in relation to another girlfriend.
"She has sought comfort in unhealthy relationships. She knows her mental health and anger issues are the catalyst for her offending. She does want to change. She is a young woman.
