Woman who weighed 29 stone looks unrecognisable after £3,500 gastric sleeve surgery
A woman who at her heaviest weighed almost 29 stone now looks incredible after undergoing gastric sleeve surgery. Mollie Hull, 20, took drastic action to slim down after tipping the scales at 28.8 stone.Mollie, who says she has been obese since the young age of 10, has always struggled with her weight and was squeezing into size 30 clothes at her heaviest. She would often eat up to eight bags of crisps a day.
The NHS says anyone thinking of travelling abroad for surgery should "understand the risks involved" and consult with their GP before making any final decision. After swapping pizzas, takeaways and multiple bags of crisps for vegetables, fish, cereal bars and fruit, she says she feels better than ever.
"I was that scared I was going to die due to my weight, I couldn't have saved that amount of money at such a young age. "I remember having to buy adult size stuff for my school uniform. It was just terrible. I was the only one of my peers like that. I knew something was wrong."At 15 years old I was already over 20 stone. It was the only thing that was regular. It was the only aspect of control that I had."
"This all came with many health issues such as high blood pressure, prediabetes, only being able to walk 100 yards or less and not being able to walk up stairs."
