Woman 'sexually assaulted by man who pulled up next to her in car'
Greater Manchester Police are investigating reports of a serious sexual assault in Bolton. Officers received a report that a female had been seriously sexually assaulted by a man who had earlier pulled up next to her in a car on Manchester Road, at around 10.20pm to 10.30pm on Thursday, June 8, 2023.
The incident is believed to have happened on the stretch of road between Four Ends Lane and Chequer Bent roundabout. Investigators are now asking for anyone who was in the area and may have dashcam footage of the incident - or otherwise witnessed something from around that time - to come forward.Detective Inspector Sarah Bell, from GMP's Bolton district, said: "This is obviously a very distressing incident and we always take reports of this nature very seriously.
