Woman 'shaken and terrified' after man sexually assaults her on train before following her to work
A woman was left 'shaken and terrified' after a man sexually assaulted her on a train before following her to work. Nathan Nash told his victim he was getting the train with her, before sitting beside her and making sexually suggestive remarks.
The ordeal, on April 14th this year, was reported to the police and an investigation was launched after the worried woman alerted the colleagues she worked with about what had happened. Nash, 30, of Ribblesdale Close, Eastham, Wirral, pleaded guilty to sexual assault and was sentenced to 12 months imprisonment at Liverpool Crown Court on December 16.
Investigating officer DC Juliet Thomas said: "This ordeal left the victim, a young woman, shaken and terrified. As if the sexual assault itself was not harrowing enough, for Nash to then follow her to her place of work, somewhere she previously felt safe, has had huge implications for her.
