Work on Nottingham's Christmas Winter Wonderland is underway
cancelled, thoughts are already turning to Christmas as plans for this year's big event were unveiled by the Mellors Group and Nottingham City Council.
The construction of this year's Winter Wonderland is expected to take around a month, with wok already underway and the opening date not until mid-November. When it comes to the big events, it doesn't get more Christmassy than the market in Old Market Square and this year is set to be no different with all the lights, food, drink and stalls you could possibly need. The celebration, from November 15 until December 31, will be back with a bang, bringing the Sky Skate ice path to the city for the first time., the Old Market Square Christmas market will have everything you need to get into the holiday spirit.
This year's event will feature an aerial skate rink which will allow skaters to glide above Market Square.
