Simone Consonni, 28, has been ruled out of the rest of the UCI Cycling World Championships
An Italian cyclist has broken his collarbone following a crash with an e-bike rider on a path in Glasgow. after the collision on the cycle path which runs along the River Clyde on Tuesday morning.
Officials from the Italian Federation said Consonni, who is the reigning European champion in the points race, had suffered a broken right collarbone and a broken left scaphoid, while Lamon had escaped any serious injury. Consonni, who rode in team pursuit qualifying for Italy before his team-mates went on to secure silver in the final rounds, was due to ride in Wednesday's points race at the Sir Chris Hoy velodrome.
