The Rangers get one of the best pure hitters in this year's MLBDraft. Wyatt Langford had 20+ home runs each of the last two seasons while playing in the SEC. His work ethic is '‘always … one step ahead of everybody else,' as maria_torres3 details:

reached out to Hall to talk about his time working with the Florida superstar. The conversation, condensed and lightly edited for clarity, follows.Just his work ethic. That’s the first thing. He was a hard worker. Always wanting to put in the extra time, always get those extra cuts in. He was always working.Really and truly, it would have been everything. Just watched him develop each year. I just watched him grow as he got bigger, stronger, more mature and more knowledgeable.

It really surprised me when he got to Florida that he was catching his first year and then they moved him to the outfield. I thought they’d try him at third or first because he had such good hands and good feet. … That doesn’t really answer your question but it kinda does because I’m just telling you he had it all. He could play anywhere on the field. We used him at catcher because that’s where we needed him because he was so quick at throwing guys out at second. Not many people ran on us.
