Microsoft has updated the Xbox home screen to feature a full screen ad for Modern Warfare 3 and people are sick of seeing it.
If there’s one thing gamers love, it’s full screen pop-up ads Sony may be using Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 to push PlayStation 5 consoles this Christmas, but Microsoft is eager to remind everyone who actually owns the franchise nowadays. Xbox owners have likely already seen that upon booting up the console, you are faced with a full screen ad for Modern Warfare 3 and an invitation to purchase the game.

They also point out that Microsoft did the same thing ahead of Starfield’s launch, although people hated it then too. Some players on Reddit even claimed that the ad would pop up while they were already playing Starfield, causing the game to crash.
