The collaborative line returns to its signature earthy palette
When Kanye West initially unveiled the Adidas Yeezy line at New York Fashion Week FW15, the predominant through-line of the ‘Season 1’ collection – a conceptual array of apparel, accessories and footwear – was the earthy colour palette. Taking Mother Nature as his muse, Ye harmonised neutral shades of blue, brown, black, grey and green in ways that felt current yet timeless, fresh yet familiar.
Accordingly, when a new neutral-coloured Adidas Yeezy shoe emerges, it's often greeted with an insane amount of hype. That's certainly the case for Adidas Yeezy Slide ‘flax’, a rich brown take on the sought-after slip-on, rumoured to drop early next week. . The shoe has already been sold hundreds of times onat prices way above the RRP of £60, proving that sneakerheads and fashion fiends are yet to grow fatigued of the classic Yeezy look – and perhaps never will.
