The Dons midfielder sealed his dream move from Pittodrie to Italy earlier this summer.
Ylber Ramadani couldn’t turn down the chance to play in Serie A because it was his burning ambition to play in one of Europe’s top leagues.
“So when the chance came I had to say to Dave , Alan and Steven I need to move because this is my dream to play in Serie A. I have to thank Aberdeen because they have given me this opportunity and allowed it to happen.” “I can’t wait to play in some top stadiums and also at Lecce and we have a big home crowd. The first match against Lazio was a sell-out.”
“Everybody welcomed me from the first day, Dave, Steven and Jim . I knew I would do well at Aberdeen because I believe in myself. It was the best step in my career to move to Aberdeen and it is a time I will never forget.” “I am so happy that we made that because the club deserves that. It is a big club and we made it. “There were ups and downs but we managed to get there.”
Aberdeen first declared their interest in Ramadani last March. He was sold after the first Zoom call - even though they could have still been relegated from the Premiership.
