People are upset about this
As the heatwave has hit the UK many of us have flocked to beaches and rivers to stay cool in the water - but this has result in stacks of rubbish being dumped by our watersides.
The chair of Friends of Ilkley Riverside Parks, are a group of volunteers who work tirelessly to keep Ilkley clean, the group have recently striked meaning the rubbish has been left. One concerned resident Tweeted Bradford Council questioning 'who will clear it' as the heatwave continues today, Tuesday 19.
"If this was in City Park would this allowed? This is not a new problem and can be easily predicted by the temperature rising above 25°c. Are you going to sort it out or will it be up to Ilkley residents AGAIN?"
