just around the corner, fans are getting more and more excited to jump into Bethesda’s next major RPG experience. While many have been focusing on the level of freedom the game is advertising alongside the game’s companions, factions and ship-building mechanics, one user pointed out that this is Bethesda’s first game to feature real-time pickpocketing.pointed out that “this [Starfield] is the first Bethesda game that features pickpocketing in real-time.
Some players were even wondering if this real-time element of tension would extend to the game’s lock-picking mechanic. Citing the tension that Dying Light’s real-time lock-picking mechanic created, user said, “I wonder if lock picking will be the same way. It is in dying light and adds a considerable amount of anxiety while trying to lock pick with baddies nearby.”pointed to one of Bethesda’s previous games, Fallout 4, saying, “One thing Fallout 4 did that it doesn’t get enough credit for is active-time looting. No need to activate a person or container and pause the game while a menu comes up. Makes looting bodies after a fight or rooms full of containers soooo much faster and less clunky.
