A young person has been taken to hospital following a crash close to a Co Antrim school on Monday morning.
The ambulance service said it was called to a collision near Ulidia Integrated College on Victoria Road in Carrickfergus at 8.19am.Read more: Homes damaged by man with a hammer in alleged racially motivated hate crimeA spokesperson for the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service said: "The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service received a 999 call at 8:19 on Monday 26 June following reports of a RTC on Victoria Road, Carrickfergus.
"NIAS despatched one emergency crew and the Charity Air Ambulance with HEMS on board to the incident. "Following assessment and initial treatment at the scene, one patient was taken to Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children by ambulance."The PSNI has been contacted for comment.
