While Megan had been in contact with her dad during her teenage years through messages, this came to an abrupt end when he faced personal relationship issues.
A young Scots mum has shared the emotional moment she finally met her long-lost dad and grandparents for the first time.
The pair were finally able to meet more than a decade later and in a heartwarming video, Megan, 22, is greeted by her grandparents before finally seeing her dad in person. But after falling pregnant with her son, Ross Lennox, now three, Megan made the decision to get back in contact with her dad as she wanted her son to 'have a full family around him.'
She said of her motivation: "I had grown up not knowing who he was. I had always been looking for information about who he could be from the age of eight, possibly a little younger."We finally got in contact after he messaged my mum, and she allowed me to speak to him. We would speak, then not for weeks and months at a time.She explained that the pair initially got in contact on Facebook in 2017, when she was around 15."We lost contact due to situations we couldn't control.
