THE UK's greenhouse gas emissions dropped by 10 percent in 2020, as experts call on China to follow suit.
summit. A new report from the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy found that, in 2020, greenhouse gas emissions were estimated to be nearly 406 million tonnes. This was a major drop of 9.5 percent from 448 million tonnes in the previous year, and compared to 806 million tonnes in 1990.This also shows that the UK has nearly halved in emissions between the years 1990 and 2020.
