A tribute event to honour a beloved grandfather who tragically died earlier this year is set to be held this weekend
Renfrew Cricket Club will be holding a special event in memory of David Barr from Inchinnan, a former member of the club.
David, who sadly died in January at 92 years old, was a keen cricketer and played at Cartha Cricket Club and Babcock & Wilcox Cricket Club which then became Renfrew Cricket Club.Racheal Cummings, David's granddaughter described him as a"selfless and generous" man.
She added: “He was a true gent – always smartly dressed and clean-shaven. He liked being in the family's company and it was always about them.” David's granddaughter remembers him playing cricket since she was a youngster, which he continued to play right into his 80s.There will also be activities for kids such as bouncy castles, and
