The cute baby was found cosying up to the hen on a Fife farm.
Animal welfare officers are caring for a red squirrel kit who was 'adopted' by a hen on a Scots farm.
Officers from the Scottish SPCA moved in to care for the squirrel, who is now with the charity's National Wildlife Rescue Centre, where he will be rehabilitated and released back into the wild. Adorable pictures show the animal huddled up to the hen, who "wasn't fussed at all" with her new addition.
