The event is jointly organised by North and South Lanarkshire Councils.
Visitors to the fireworks display at Strathclyde Country Park on November 5 are advised to plan ahead and allow plenty time for travel as the event is expected to be very busy.
The free download features the latest breaking news and exclusive stories, and allows you to customise your page to the sections that matter most to you.There will be a number of road closures around the event and Chief Inspector Stephen McGovern said: “Police Scotland is working closely with a range of key partners, including North Lanarkshire Council, in advance of Bonfire Night to keep everyone safe.
“Bonfire Night ought to be a safe and enjoyable experience for all and the public can help us achieve this by ensuring they follow the event rules.” No waiting or loading restrictions will be in place from noon to midnight on the day on streets around the park. Parking attendants will be in operation in the streets around the park to enforce these restrictions.
The tunnel from Hamilton into the park will be open until 6.30pm. From then, it will only be open for people exiting the park.
