Councillors and residents react to news city centre branch will shut down in November
There is shock and anger at the news that Boots is to close its Liverpool Castle Street pharmacy branch.
The news has been met with dismay by local residents and councillors who consider the store vital for the community. One of those concerned residents is 75-year-old Mike Cadwallader, who lives in Water Street with his wife. He says they both rely on the Castle Street store for their prescriptions.
