At least one killed and one injured as gunman opens fire in Mercedes factory
Cops swooped on the car plant after shots were fired at employees in Sindelfingen, Germany.The gunman is reported to have entered the facility at 7.45am local time before opening fire.The plant is where Mercedes cars such as the S-Class and EQS sedan are assembled.Cops managed to arrest the suspect
"One person was killed, one seriously injured. The background is still unclear. The perpetrator was arrested," said a police spokesman. Mercedes confirmed an incident had taken place at the plant and that it was in touch with the authorities. "We are in contact with the authorities and are trying to clarify the facts. The safety of the employees comes first," said the firm.
