The Beach wars are back as holidaymakers have been spotted dashing to Bendorms seaside as early as 5.30 am to nab a spot!
Early-risers in Benidorm have found a crafty way to secure the best spot on the sand.Once there, they’ll plant towels, deckchairs or sun umbrellas in the sand before returning to bed for some beauty sleep.
The beach bandits are reportedly Spanish – but other witnesses have reported tourists now doing the same thing. ‘I didn’t see many Brits around when they started arriving just after 5.30am but it must be pretty annoying to come down later in the morning and find all the best spots taken up by sunbathers who are nowhere to be seen.’
‘There are also people who put out their belongings at this early time of the morning and go home, and that is something that is not allowed.
