A Belfast man who went on a drug-induced rampage with a broken bottle was made the subject of a two-year Probation Order on Friday.
The court heard that on March 29, 2022 a woman was walking along the city's Antrim Road when she noticed an intoxicated man staggering towards her with a broken bottle. He then made his way along the Antrim Road and approached and began shouting at a group of young people at a Maxol garage. Morey was wrestled to the ground by bystanders and was arrested. He subsequently pleaded guilty to charges of common assault, wounding and possessing an offensive weapon.
"On that particular evening, he says he injected a substantial quantity of cocaine. His memory is of a friend shape-shifting.
