Bella Hadid has recently opened up about her battle with chronic Lyme disease.
Supermodel Bella Hadid has shared a recent update regarding her ongoing battle with Lyme disease, shedding light on the challenges she continues to face in her health journey.
Now 26 years old, Bella was diagnosed with Lyme disease back in 2013. Over the years, she has been vocal about her struggles, using her platform to raise awareness about this often misunderstood illness. On Tuesday 6th August Bella posted a TikTok video of herself and her dog beans taking a walk in between hospital treatments. She captioned the clip: ”Me n miss beans taking our mental health walk in between treatments .”Lyme disease has not only affected Bella and her mother Yolanda, but also her younger brother Anwar, who was diagnosed in 2013. Yolanda wrote in a blog post on BravoTV.
Although Bella and Yolanda both say they’ve had chronic illness caused by Lyme, the diagnosis has attracted some controversy. The NHS website acknowledges that some patients do appear to suffer prolonged symptoms after contracting Lyme disease, but explains there’s no consensus on the cause of this and no clinical definition of Chronic Lyme disease.
