Brit dies after cops pulled his body from sea near beach on holiday island
A BRITISH tourist has tragically died on the holiday island of Mallorca as his body was pulled from the sea near a popular beach.
Police are investigating the death of the 20-year-old man after his body was found near the beach of Can Picafort, a resort on the northeast of the island.The discovery was made by a local resident around 10.50 am this morning in the area of the Mar y Paz Hotel. Medics, police and the Civil Guard rushed to the scene but doctors were unable to save the victim's life.
He was rushed to the mainland, and even though medics attempted CPR during the journey he was pronounced dead. The Civil Guard has opened an investigation to identify the young man and try to clarify the causes of his death.
