'The excitement and pride she had for herself was just everything'
Christine McGuinness has shared her joy after one of her daughters completed an adorable task for the first time. The Blackpool-born TV star is mother to three autistic children, and she was delighted to come across a wonderful surprise in daughter Felicity's bedroom.
The "proud" seven-year-old had neatly made her own bed, including tucking in the colourful duvet, lining up her cuddly toys and plumping the pillows. Christine also revealed not only was this the first time the youngster, who also has two twin siblings Leo and Penelope, nine, has completed this mini milestone, and without being asked.
The 35-year-old model and TV personality, who lives in Cheshire with her children, who she shares with comedian and TV presenter Paddy McGuinness, gushed about how Felicity's act had "made her heart smile." Paddy, 50, and Christine, 35, divorced in 2022 after 12 years of marriage.Sharing the cute image to her 711,000 followers on Instagram, the TV presenter added in the caption: "My baby girl made her own bed this morning .
"It really is the little things that make my heart smile. As long as I have my three babies, I have everything I need." Christine was herself diagnosed with autism in 2021. Earlier this year, the author and autism ambassador released BBC documentary titled Christine McGuinness: Unmasking My Autism, a journey of self-discovery that uncovers the links between her autism and struggles growing up.
