Mairi McAllan has hit out after raising her constituents’ concerns about the level of care provided at Woodstock Medical Centre in Lanark with health board bosses.
Clydesdale’s MSP is urging NHS Lanarkshire to take immediate action to improve health services in Lanark.
Ms McAllan said: “Alba Medical Group are contracted by NHS Lanarkshire to provide GP services in Lanark. That contract provides that Alba must deliver a ‘reasonable level of care’. “The obligation is now the board’s to act – with immediate effect - to ensure that a ‘reasonable level of care’ is reinstated.
“The board must act now to drive rapid improvement. This is essential for the patients in Lanark that they are responsible for and for the staff in the health centre who work so hard but for whom the situation is becoming unsustainable.”
