Anyone who sees Jaye should not approach him, and should instead call the police
Officers are appealing for information after a convict failed to return to prison. Jaye Whitten absconded from HMP Sudbury on Friday, July 13.
The 37 year old man was convicted at Nottingham Crown Court in 2021 for robbery and attempt burglary. He was jailed for six years. Jaye has links to the Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire areas. He has been describing as being of thin build with grey hair, blue eyes and he has tattoos on his arms and torso.
Derbyshire Constabulary are warning people not to approach Jaye if they see him. People should instead contact the police quoting reference number 1222 of 14 July. This can be done by calling 101, contacting the force on social media, or calling the independent charity CrimeStoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
