So, who are the potential suspects that pulled off the only case of airline piracy to remain unsolved?Dick Briggs, a cocaine dealer, was one of many people claiming they were DB Cooper in the years following the skyjacking. His history is a bit blurred but it’s been confirmed that he served as an Army pilot like profilers of Cooper suggest he was. He also had previous connections to the CIA but was discharged from the Army in 1971, five months before the planejacking.
Richard Floyd McCoy Jr is arguably the suspect who looks most like the police sketch, and also had a history of planejacking.
