'You know the devastation drugs can have on people and taking part in that is just not acceptable'
Scott Percy, 45, appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court after previously pleading guilty to being concerned in the supply of the Class A drug. The prosecutor said: “They observed a Vauxhall motor vehicle being driven. Police had reason to stop the vehicle.
“Officers approached and observed the accused within the front passenger side. He was observed to be holding £30 cash and a mobile phone. After searching Percy, cops found a blue container with 15 bags of brown powder in it and a polyethene bag containing 20 bags of brown powder. The prosecutor revealed the heroin weighed a total of 21 grams, with a street value of £800.
Percy’s lawyer said: “He has no other outstanding matters. He’s managed to get back on top of his addiction.” Sheriff Patricia Pryce told him: “Given your record and your high court conviction, I’m well within my rights to send you to prison., has managed to get your addiction under control. You’ve done well with that.
“This is a serious setback, however. You know the devastation drugs can have on people and taking part in that is just not acceptable.”He was also placed under social work supervision for six months.
