Dominic Raab has been accused of throwing tomatoes from his Pret-a-Manger salad at staff. The deputy PM reportedly created a severe ‘culture of fear’ in the Ministry of Justice, leaving many suicidal.

, Mr Raab is now the third cabinet minister in just six months to leave over ethical issues.

‘Whilst I feel duty-bound to accept the outcome of the inquiry, it dismissed all but two of the claims levelled against me,’ he said. When he was foreign secretary from 2020 to 2021, eight of his staff claimed they were bullied and harassed at work; 15 claimed to see this happen. His conduct has been under the magnifying glass of Mr Tolley, a relatively unknown lawyer with an almost encyclopaedic knowledge of employment law.Following the publication of the report, it would be up to the prime minister to judge whether the findings show Mr Raab broke the ministerial rules.

The prime minister’s official spokesperson said: ‘He does have full confidence in the prime minister – that still stands.Mr Raab, 48, first swung open the cabinet doors when Theresa May was leader before resigning as Brexit secretary only four months later in November 2018.
