💬 “We now live in a country where the definition of bullying includes telling someone to do their job' joymorrissey, MP for Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire, suggested that “whining” and “narcissistic victimhood” of those accusing Raab were to blame

The MP said “whining, taking offence and narcissistic victimhood have become the defining characteristics of our times”.he was worried about the handling of complaints and whether “this is the new approach, a scalp of a Conservative minister by various civil servants”, adding “I think it’s quite a dangerous precedent.”Times Radio

“If you have got a guy working for you in the Civil Service who is not pilling his weight, not doing his job, he may even be incompetent, how do you communicate that without being described as a bully?” he asked. Ministers “do not serve at the pleasure of civil servants”, he said, and he questioned the power Whitehall may have in getting them sacked and whether it should be possible “for a fairly small number of civil servants to get rid of the minister of the Crown” before accusations are proven.

The MP for Mid Befordshire, who has been a long-standing critic of Mr Sunak, had earlier praised Mr Raab as an “intelligent, highly qualified, very experienced individual”.
