The popular soap has been moved in the BBC TV listings
EastEnders has been pulled from Monday evening's BBC listings amid a huge shakeup for the popular soap this week.
The serial drama usually airs Monday-Thursday at 7.30pm, but it won't be broadcast tonight or on Wednesday this week. The schedule change is to make way for the live World Athletics coverage which will instead be shown on BBC One. The missed episodes will air on Tuesday and Thursday, which will see two back-to-back EastEnders instalments broadcast from 7pm.BBC bosses added that the schedule change will not affect the regular BBC iPlayer 6am uploads with episodes continuing to land on Monday to Thursday, which will allow audiences to watch the programme wherever or whenever it suits them.
Monday evening will see live coverage of the World Athletics from 7.30pm-9pm on BBC One. This will continue at 8pm on Tuesday, 7pm on Wednesday, and 8pm on Thursday. The World Athletics championships are taking place in Budapest and will conclude on Sunday, August 27. This weekend saw Katarina Johnson-Thompson win a brilliant heptathlon gold medal.Receive newsletters with the biggest and breaking TV and showbiz news by signing up here
