Not a fun night to be on the M6
Motorists are being warned they could be stuck in 70-minute delays on the M6 following a broken down vehicle.
Two of four lanes are closed on the southbound carriageway between junction 32 and 31a for Preston. Traffic officers are on scene and there is said to be six miles of congestion.READ MORE: Lancaster police officer under criminal investigation after horror crash seriously injures boy, 11 A spokesperson for National Highways said: "2 lanes are closed on the #M6 southbound in #Lancashire between J32 and J31a due to a broken down vehicle. Our Traffic Officers and Police are on scene... There's now a 70 minute delay on approach with 8 miles of congestion
"2 lanes remain closed on the #M6 southbound in #Lancashire between J32 & J31a due to a broken down vehicle. Police are on scene and have arranged recovery. There's a 50 minute delay on approach with 6 miles of congestion. Also 30 min delay on #M55 east."
