Ms Smith said she has seen first hand that it already is. A doctor came to visit her father at his home in Norbury, south London, on Thursday and said he needed to go to A&E “straight away” due to having fluid on his lungs and shortness of breath.“I only have a Mini and my dad’s 6ft tall so we had to get my brother-in-law to come with his van.Ms Smith said after doctors assessed Mr Baker it was clear his condition was serious and he would need to be admitted onto a ward.
“I felt so bad leaving him there with his little bag. I asked one of the nurses to keep an eye on him,” she said. She said: “I was quite disgusted really, it’s unbelievable. He’s paid into the system all his life and it’s just not fit for purpose.
