Michael Jones died in tragic circumstances at Everton's new stadium site at Bramley-Moore Dock

Everton Football Club will celebrate the life of Michael Jones with a touching tribute both before and during the Toffees' clash with Wolves at Goodison Park on Saturday.

There will be a period of applause before the game kicks off, before another applause organised by supporters on 26 minutes, which will be supported by the club inside the stadium with images of Michael on the screen at Goodison. "Michael was a quiet lad, unless you had the pleasure of having a drink with him. He has had the best year going to Switzerland and Australia watching the Blues - so much so he said he would love to move to Australia but couldn’t because he would miss the match too much. It’s what he loved doing."

And Michael's family, who have been left devastated by his loss, have thanked fans for their support. Meanwhile, Everton interim CEO and Chief Stadium Development Officer Colin Chong will pay tribute to Michael in the club's matchday programme before the game.
