Money expert Martin Lewis has shared a 1p payment rule to anyone buying last-minute Christmas presents. It comes at a time when many will be heading to the shops or online retailers to get gifts for their loved ones.
The Manchester Evening News reports he is trying to ensure people stay safe while doing Christmas shopping in his top 10 consumer right know-hows. One of his tips explained how you can protect yourself while Christmas shopping with just 1p.Martin said: "For powerful protective voodoo on bigger items, pay at least 1p on a credit card. Buy something costing £100.
