Families on benefits such as Universal Credit, Income-based Jobseekers Allowance, Working Tax Credit and Child Tax Credit are also eligible for the £650 payout, and many have already received their first instalment.If you were eligible for a Tax Credit payment between 26 April- 25 May this year, you should receive the money. No date has been announced for when the remaining £324 will be paid, but it's expected to be later this year.
In fact, it's thought that loads of people who SHOULD get the much-needed cash boost actually won't, as it all depends on what type of benefit you claim. To be eligible for the first part of the cost of living payment, families have to be claiming means-tested benefits, such as Universal Credit and Income Support.
