Our thoughts are with Robert's family during this difficult time.

The family of a man who died following an incident on an oil rig off the coast of Qatar have paid tribute to the "one-of-a-kind, beautiful soul" as a Lanarkshire man remains in hospital.

Robert Robson, a 38-year-old dad, lost his life following the incident at the Al Shaheen oil field on Monday. Oil worker Christopher Begley, 38 from Coatbridge, was taken to hospital after getting hurt in the incident.Paying tribute to their loved-one, Robert's family issued the following statement: “Robbie was an amazing, one-of-a-kind, beautiful soul.

“He was a loving partner, dad, son, brother and uncle who was tragically taken too soon. He was an irreplaceable friend to many, and Robbie will be sorely missed by everyone that knew him.Robert's colleague, Scott Forrest, 43, has been accused of attacking his room-mate with a breathing apparatus tank before attempting to hide the body.Begley's dad told the Record earlier this week he was shocked by the "unprovoked" attack.
