Firefighters have battled a blaze on the Pleasure Beach tonight after a small fire started underneath the Derby Racer. The fire service attended shortly after 6pm.In a statement, Pleasure Beach said: "There was a small fire underneath the Derby Racer at approximately 6:10pm today. The fire was extinguished shortly after the alarm was raised. Blackpool Fire Brigade attended site to ensure the fire was fully extinguished.
"No guests were involved. Blackpool Pleasure Beach would like to thank the fire brigade for their excellent support." The Derby Racer is a carousel-style attraction which has been a part of the Pleasure Beach since 1959.
