It has not been the easiest year for the nation's drivers. Fuel prices reach a record high and made driving one of the most expensive costs to many households, but prices have thankfully dropped off recently.
But Chancellor Jeremy Hunt failed to address whether fuel duty would rise to normal levels in his Autumn Statement, but the Office for Budget Responsibility suggested it could rise by 12p. Meanwhile the Treasury insisted no decision had been made. A ban already exists in London and speculation has been rife that it could be extended to the rest of England in the coming years.
