The Oppenheimer star says she no longer cares about what people think
Hollywood actor Florence Pugh has slammed people who body-shame. Following her recent role in the 2023 blockbuster film Oppenheimer, where she appeared nude in one particular scene, Pugh has opened up on how "comfortable and happy" she is in her own skin.
Pugh, now one of the most recognisable faces in all of Hollywood, has opened up about her battle with body-shamers and says she prefers to "lay it all out" rather than hide away. Speaking to fellow actress Jodie Turner-Smith for the October issue of Elle UK, she said: "I think the scariest thing for me are the instances where people have been upset that I've shown 'too much' of myself.
Pugh, who is also known for her roles in Midsommar and Little Women, added: "I think we're in this swing now where lots of people are saying, 'I don't give a s***'. Unfortunately, we've become so terrified of the human body that we can’t even look at my two little cute nipples behind fabric in a way that isn't sexual."
