Police have not confirmed what exactly the 'item' was but say a cordon remains following the incident earlier today
A man has been arrested after an 'item' was examined by bomb disposal experts before being removed from a flat in Springburn.
The road was on lockdown with many residents evacuated and it is believed they were taken to Springburn Leisure Centre.Police Scotland have confirmed that the bomb squad have since removed the 'item' from a flat and a 50-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident.
