Cameron O'Raw, 26, pounced on David Graham with a knife near Glasgow city centre on December 14, 2021.The victim was repeatedly struck and later cried out"I'm going to die" before being taken to hospital.The court heard that the pair were together for most of the day into the early hours of the morning."An argument ensued between them and when Mr Graham crossed the road, O'Raw followed him then struck him from behind.
Mr Graham was initially able to run away but was tailed by O'Raw who caught up with him on Oxford Street."O'Raw repeatedly struck Mr Graham bringing his arm down towards the victim's head and body several times with force.O'Raw fled the scene while Mr Graham was able to make his way to a nearby Spar.Mr Graham was noted to have a stab wound to the left of his back and was bleeding heavily.The victim was found to have a stab wound to his back and abdomen.
The hearing was told that O'Raw's blade was found after he was arrested for another matter later that same day. The knife was analysed to find DNA of both men on it which led to O'Raw's capture for the attempted murder. It was revealed that O'Raw has a previous conviction for a serious assault with a machete and was caged for two years.O'Raw, who appeared from custody, had his remand continued meantime.
