The town had been without a nightclub
A nightclub opens this weekend in a landmark building that's been closed for more than a decade. On Saturday, July 1, the Corn Exchange on Castle Gate, Newark, will be relaunching as Club X.
It's been taken over by Nottingham-based nightclub operator Aygun Acinik. Mr Acinik, who also operates bars and clubs in Nottingham and Boston, said: “We’ve changed everything, toilets, bars, entrances, everything. Club X will be spread across two floors, with the main bar and tables surrounding the dancefloor on the ground floor as well as an upper balcony with relaxed seating area and the DJ booth, which will overlook the dancefloor below.
Ms Smith continued: “There will be a strict no ID, no entry policy and a smart casual dress code, with no tracksuit bottoms, sport shorts, hoodies or hats allowed. Our doorstaff will ensure that all customers have a safe and enjoyable experience within the venue.”
