WTF Happens To Karolina In The New Season Of Succession?
Karolina Novotney is the head of PR for Waystar Royco and a member of the company’s legal team. Often overlooked in terms of plot, Karolina tends to come to the fore when she is being sworn at by other members of the cast, ie. Logan during feisty work-related confrontations. Or when she's drawing up a press release when he suddenly dies on a private jet, of course.
In season three, Kendall and Karolina seemed to form an alliance when Kendall first split off from his father's company and launched a campaign to take him down. Her loyalty to Logan triumphed in the end, and in the first few episodes of season four we see Karolina fronting PR for Waystar again. She came back into the fold in episode three, when Logan's character is killed off, to offer a practical business-minded approach to his death. She's the one who encourages the siblings to write a statement and is pushing for them to break the news to protect the company's stocks.
She seems to offer the type of mind that Logan would have liked to see from his own kids. So could we see Karolina break away from PR and take over the company? Or will she at least secure a central role in the successor's team? We'll have to wait and see. We already know she's got a working history with Kendall, so that could work in her favour if the siblings team together.
