. The truce came into force on Monday night but bursts of violence have been reported.
Elena said she has not left her home, where she is sheltering with her family, since the beginning of the conflict and has only two or three days’ worth of food left. “It was a shock when it began. I left my office on the Saturday and everything was ok. Of course, there were some tensions between the RSF and Sudanese military and we felt that something was going to happen.
