James Brittain-McVey of The Vamps is 'couple goals' with wife Kirstie - but even in bliss, he's been called out for an imperfection
Celebrities in love are one of the mainstays of Instagram, and James Brittain-McVey of The Vamps has set a pretty high bar with a frankly tear-inducing post. The 30-year-old guitarist took to the social network to share images of himself with wife Kirstie on the beach in Praia da Galé in Portugal.
One shot shows the pair in relaxed pose, James in crisp white shorts and a grey tee giving a piggyback to Kirstie, a white headband holding back her blonde locks. The other shot shows the pair sitting on a rocky outcrop with the sea in the background, James smooching Kirstie on the cheek. The post reads simply: "She's my blood and bones." But even though the poses, the lighting and the scenery are so romantic we can hardly stand it, fans have taken issue with one part of the perfect scene. It's not the first time they have commented, but James really should take heed of this fashion issue.
NickiJaynexx posted: "Keep her, she loves you despite the crocs," while CaseyBelcher added: "You should be an ambassador for crocs."LuciaAvd said: "Those crocs have seen more world than i have," while fashion-forward MarliWilkes judged: "crocs are out." James got engaged to his girlfriend Kirstie Brittain in January 2019, with the pair eventually marrying in October 2021 at Lulworth Castle in Dorset, James taking Kirstie's name as a double-barrel with his own. He finished fifth in the 18th series of I'm a Celeb IN 2018, and is currently promoting his first solo single, Dancing on the Head of a Needle.
