The mere mention of sweets from our childhood is enough to transport us back in time to when the corner shop was a treasure trove of sugary delights.
It wasn't all that long ago that a 10p mix up actually had ten sweets and you didn't have to consider taking out a mortgage to buy a Freddo. Alas, with the dawn of shrinkflation and changing tastes, many of our childhood favourites have been discontinued.While younger generations marvel at confectionary imported from the likes of Australia and America, the memories of the treats which have been lost to the passage of time still stay strong in many of our hearts.
While some of favourites which had been discontinued have made brief reappearances over the years, they just haven't been the same. Perhaps we are just looking at things through rose tinted glasses, but we still live in hope that one day, all of our much loved sugary treats will be back on our shelves.The Topic bar was discontinued in 2022
