The Burning Man festival, which was founded in Baker Beach in San Francisco in 1986, has attracted A-list celebs including Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos and Will Smith in previous years.
Every year thousands of free-spirited people descend on Nevada's Black Rock Desert to erect a temporary city which the aim of enjoying an "erotically charged" environment celebrating art and self-expression.
During the festival which runs for nine days, 1500 camps are set up across the playa, the dried-up land Black Rock City lies on, and each hosts its own events. Revellers can take part in yoga, meditation, arts and crafts among other activities which often have an erotic edge. Famously the festival has an "Orgy Dome" which has made a return every year since 2003, promising "safe, consensual, sex-positive, inclusionary and exploratory environment". Inside the structure is a mattress which is usually "occupied by couples, with some threesomes and moresomes".
